Christy Michaels
Christy is excited to be back on stage with First Impressions after her debut here as Meg in Crimes of the Heart, followed by her apperance as Danielle in Talk Radio. A professional actor in film, television and commercials, she has found a renewed love for the theatre right here in Deep Cove. Christy would like to thank her cast members, the First Impressions’ incredible crew and you, the audience for making this experience one to remember!

Krissy Jesudason
Krissy, orignally from Manila, Philippines, came to Vancouver 5 years ago. She studied at Douglas College for 2 years where she compeleted the acting program and then transfered to UBC where she earned a Bachlor of Fine Arts also in Acting. Past credits include Lady Fuschia in Gormenghast (directed by stephen Malloy), Sissy Wilde in Unity 1918 (directed by Stephen Drover), Medea in Medea (directed by Lois Anderson) and Djuna Barnes in The Idiots Karamazov (directed by Chris McGregor).

Steve Sisk
Stephen has been involved in the industry for nearly 30 years. A career that spans stage, small and large screens, from standup comedy to drama, science fiction to mysteries, Stephen has worked in almost every capacity in the business at one time or another.

Renee Mondor
Renée hit the stage at the tender age of five when she sang her first solo in front of her school. Throughout high school, Renee kept busy training with classical voice lessons, music lessons, dance classes and drama classes – and performed in school, church and festivals every chance she could. Renée then packed her bags and enrolled in the Theatre program at the University of Ottawa. After joining A.C.T Ottawa, she appeared in the short films “Sin Seven” and “Stalker” as well as working on the science fiction horror film "Decoys". She then moved to “Hollywood North” and spent 6 months at VADA’s Dramatic Arts Program. Upon graduation, Renee had already booked lead roles in various short films such at "Dokubana" and "Goosed" and worked as the Stage Manager of a charming little play called "The Boys Next Door" which starred "Battlestar Galactica's" Grace Park. Renee then booked roles in various Indie films such as "Candyland" and "Zombie Punch", worked along side "Baywatch" hottie Brooke Burns in Fox's "Mistresses" and recurred on YTV Kid's "Prank Patrol". Renee feels she is well on her way to realizing her dreams and is excited to be back on stage working with such an amazing cast.

Cameron McDonald
Cam has appeared in many locally shot TV series including, Da Vinci’s Inquest, Dead Zone, Dead Like Me, Supernatural, Whistler and The 4400. He has loved treading the boards in many First Impressions productions, most recently Talk Radio, Self Help, Pizza Man, The Shaky Ladder of Love and The Motor Trade. He would especially like to thank ALL the gang at First Impressions for their love and support over the years.

Louise Porter
Louise has performed in many First Impressions Theatre's productions including Educating Rita, Drinking Alone, Sinners, Murderer and many more. Prior to coming to Vancouver several years ago, she made her home in Toronto where she studied acting for three years at the Equity Showcase Theatre and the Centre for Actors' Study of Toronto (C.A.S.T.) with actor/director Kurt Reis. After a two year absence from the stage following the Deep Cove Stage's production of David Auburn's Proof, Louise is delighted to be treading the boards again with such a talented group of actors. Louise would like to thank all those involved in this production of As You Like It as well as her partner John for his love and support.

Sharon Taylor
Sharon has her BFA in theatre from SFU and has performed at the Deep Cove Shaw Theatre previously in Deathtrap, The Panto Menace, Arsenic and Old Lace, Arms and the Man, Drinking Alone, Ethan Claymore, Sinners, Twelfth Night, The Long Weekend, Wrong For Each Other, Barefoot in the Park, Art, Blood Brothers and Crimes of the Heart. She has also worked behind the scenes as a Director and Assistant Director for some First Impressions productions. Sharon also works in film and television and has recurring roles on Stargate: Atlantis and Smallville.

Ryan Gilmore
Ryan appeared in our recent productions of Office Hours and Talk Radio. He has worked backstage on several of our productions including Crimes of the Heart, Billy Bishop Goes to War and Same Time Next Year. Ryan has just finished his last year at Windsor Secondary where he was part of their previous productions of Fiddler on the Roof, Twelfth Night, The Cagebird, and Oklahoma!

Philip Richard Black
Philip Richard Black has recently returned to the stage after a lengthy hiatus. He was in Albees Everything In The Garden at Deep Cove and enjoyed himself so much that he jumped at the chance to perform there again. He is delighted to have the chance to work with Neil Freeman and to see all the familiar faces again.

Trilby Jeeves
Trilby Jeeves was the only English student to be theatrically trained in her second language for 3 years at Le Conservatoire d'Art Dramatique in Québec City. She followed the teachings of Marc Doré (who studied at Lecoq in Paris), Paule Savard , Jean Guy, Denise Gagnon, Yves Erik Marier, and Jacques Lessard who created the "REPERE" method of creating theatrical work, with Robert Lepage.
She went on to perform in both languages, eventually coming back to Vancouver. In BC, she worked with Théâtre La Seizième, The Raymond Burr Theatre and other smaller companies.
In between working as a costumer in the film industry for 10 years, Trilby directed the first French Canadian productions in Vancouver of "Les Monologues du Vagin" two years running, as well as teaching improvisation and buffoonery en Français, throughout various schools in B.C., and Prince Edward Island. She taught "Le Bouffon" at Tooba Physical Theatre Centre, and at VanArts in Vancouver, Canada. Trilby is happy to finally be doing some Shakespeare in English! Thank you Neil!

Mariko Zamani
Mariko is very excited to be performing as Hysperia in Neil Freeman's adaptation of As You Like It. She was most recently seen as Emilia in Seacoast Studio's Love and Dreaming, another Shakespearean piece adapted by Scott Swan. She was also seen in Subsequent Conversations, playing the role of Judy in the "Women of Manhatten" portion of the show. Mariko began her involvement with the studio directly after her completion of the two year theatre program at Douglas College, where she was seen in productions such as "Taming of the Shrew", "Top Girls", and "Come Back to the Five and Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean". She would like to thank her friends, boyfriend, Seacoast Studios, and everyone that is a part of this production for their continual support!

Kevin Stark
Kevin is a recent graduate of the Bachelor of Fine Arts acting program at UBC. As You Like It will be his first production since leaving the protective cloister of university and he could not be more thrilled with his luck. Past favorite credits include Alyosha in The Idiots Karamazov, Jason in Medea, Steerpike in Gormenghast (Theatre @ UBC), and Horace Bianchon in Old Goriot (Western Gold). A very big thank you to Neil Freeman for the opportunity to play this incredible role. Another thank you to his mom, dad, and sister for their unrelenting support and belief in him. And as ever, a thank you to you the audience for supporting this art and joining those on and around the stage in this experience we call theatre. Enjoy.

Darien Edgeler
Darien appeared in the inaugural First Impressions production over twenty-five years ago, and he is delighted to be back on the boards with the troupe. A Deep Cove local, Darien has appeared in dozens of shows on The North Shore. Favourites at The Shaw Theatre include I Hate Hamlet and The Complete Works of William Shakespeare {Abridged}. Darien is a founding member of The Half-Stratford Players, and has won a variety of Theatre B.C. awards for acting, playwrighting, and stage combat choreography.

Jason has worked with a number of theatre groups over the years. He loves working with First Impressions because of the ambitious projects they choose as well as the people you get to work with. Michael and Eileen always provide a great environment to work in.

Ben Maifredi
Born in Australia, but grew up on the North Shore. He graduated from Sutherland High School. Ben is well known in the Cove area for performing in the last 15 Pantomimes with Deep Cove Stage Society. Ben is also a founding member of the Half-Stratford Players. This is Bens first show with First Impressions, and first Shakespeare piece in 15 years. Wes Crowley
Before recently appearing in our production of Office Hours, Wes had been working with our group for several years both backstage and front of house, or sometimes both; he stage managed our production of Crimes of the Heart, and was several of the “call-in voices” for our production of Talk Radio. Wes is a film student and a writer; he is an important member of our team, you will see him working with us a lot in the future.

Leigh Ashlyn Hardie
Leigh Ashlyn Hardie was born in Toronto and raised in London, Ontario. As a member of Original Kids Theatre Company, Leigh performed in many areas of theatre from age 7 to 18. She is most proud of her work in Shakespeare's plays. Some of her favourite roles include: Juliet in Romeo & Juliet, King Claudius in an all female production of Hamlet and Puck in A Midsummer Nights Dream. In 1998, Leigh performed in The Dreamers, an original play written by the cast. This play represented Canada at The World Festival of Children's Theatre in Lingen, Germany. After secondary school, Leigh moved to Vancouver where she attended the Film Production program at the University of British Columbia. As You Like It marks Leigh's return to the stage after 7 years. She is very honoured to have been given an opportunity to perform again and hopes to continue her community theatre involvement while pursuing her career in film. Leigh would like to thank her family and friends for supporting her return to theatre and Neil Freeman for this wonderful experience.

Gerry Lecovin
Gerry has acted with many amateur theatrical groups. With the exception of a stint touring BC in "The Drunkard", he has not earned one red cent from it. Jerry has taken dramatic lessons from time to time without noticeable effect. He has appeared in all but one Lawyer Show production. Jerry is grateful to the Discipline Committee of the Benchers, of which he was once a member, for encouraging him to take up theatre as a full time vocation.

Eroca Zales
In the past 4 1/2 years, Eroca has enjoyed a wide variety of roles on stage, film and radio including Mae West, a Bible-totin' battle axe, a malicious magistrate, a nurse with an axe to grind, a pot smokin' senior, a pill poppin' yuppie, an upper class twit, trailer park trash, a bag lady, an obsessive Freudian, a suicidal adulteress, a prophetess, a stone butch and two serial killers! Some highlights include A Doll's House, Chemainus Theatre Festival; Bye Bye Baby, Third Street Series; and 8 X 10 Glossy, Leaping Thespians (best production; adjudicator's award, best supporting actress GVZ 2008). Patrons of Deep Cove Stage may remember her in Veronica's Room (adjudicator's award, best actress), Radio TBS, Cliffhanger, and Bad Seed. This is Eroca's debut with First Impressions and she's thrilled to be working with Neil and such a talented cast and crew. Enjoy the show!

Alexis Kellum-Creer
Alexis is delighted to be appearing in her first show with Deep Cove institution First Impressions! She's appeared in several shows with the Half-Stratford Players (another Deep Cove institution), as well as in productions such as Dylan, The Boys Next Door, Proof, The Circle, and most recently Enchanted April at the Metro Theatre. Masae Day
Masae is excited to be working on As You Like It with this lovely cast! She trained in theatre at Tooba Physical Theatre Centre and Canada's National Voice Intensive, as well as 10 weeks with Buffoonery Acting Workshops. She received her BMus in violin performance from UVic and is an alumna of the National Youth Orchestra of Canada. Recent credits include The Tempest (Bard on the Beach), Seussical: The Musical (Carousel), Fools For Love (Buffoonery Acting Workshops), Death of a Clown and The Road To Canterbury (Itsazoo), and Beekeepers (Brave New Play Rites – UBC). Masae teaches violin at the Vancouver Academy of Music and Prussin Music.

Bronwen Marsden
Bronwen, with a love of theatre that goes back as far she can remember, recently graduated from Montreal's Concordia University with a double major in Theatre and Film Production. Realising that she could only get so far as an Anglophone actor in Montreal, and feeling a wee bit homesick besides, she moved herself back to the city of her birth and began her career as an out-of-work actor. She is thrilled now to have the opportunity to work here in Deep Cove with all these lovely new people!

Ryan Crocker
Ryan is a First Impressions veteran, having performed and directed shows here since the mid 1990's. He is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, and was a member of the Academy Company. Onscreen, he has appeared in Da Vinci’s Inquest, Just Cause, John Doe, Peacemakers, and The Masters Of Horror, as well as numerous commercials. As a voice actor, he has appeared in Broken Saints and I Am Legend:Isolation. He directed for First Impressions Theatre’s Noises Off, Of Mice and Men, Mister Roberts, A Streetcar Named Desire, The Glass Menagerie, Private Lives, Harvey, The Man Who Came to Dinner, Deathtrap, Murderer and Self Help. He performed in The Odd Couple, Heaven Can Wait, A Christmas Carol, On Golden Pond, The Last of the Red Hot Lovers, Blandiloquence, Whose Life Is It Anyway?, Drinking Alone, Sinners, Jitters, Wrong for Each Other, Barefoot in the Park, The Motor Trade, Humble Boy, Crimes of the Heart, Talk Radio, Same Time Next Year, and Office Hours
